QUESTIONS

1.

According to 2022 Tanzania census report there was uneven composition of population as there were
29,137,638 males and 30,713,709 females in Tanzania mainland. Whereas the number of Young
Population (0–14 years) was 25,628,380; Working Age Population (15-64 years) was 5,295,019 and
Population Aged 65+ years was 3,406,465 in Tanzania mainland. As the demography officer
elaborate three reasons for the low number of males compared to females and with five points show
how the study of such population composition is significant to the country.

Implementation of Tanzania implicit and explicit population policy of 1992 emerged with different
outcomes. Whereas some demographics are still in debate that it has accomplished its goals as were
